How a round of Limbo works
Limbo settles in one step. The game draws a result multiplier, and the bet wins if it beats the target.
- Enter the bet amount.
- Type a Target Multiplier, or a Win Chance; the other field updates.
- Press Bet.
- Read the result: above the target pays the bet times the target, below it loses the bet.
The Profit on Win field shows the amount a win would add before the bet is placed.

Target Multiplier and Win Chance
Target Multiplier and Win Chance are two views of the same setting. Win Chance equals 99 divided by the target, in per cent.
| Target Multiplier | Win Chance |
|---|---|
| 1.01× | 98.02% |
| 1.50× | 66.00% |
| 2.00× | 49.50% |
| 3.00× | 33.00% |
| 10.00× | 9.90% |
| 100.00× | 0.99% |
| 1,000× | 0.099% |
| 1,000,000× | 0.000099% |
The lowest target is 1.01×. Each step up in the target cuts the chance in the same proportion.
Limbo win chance calculator
Enter a target multiplier to see the chance of winning and of losing at 99% RTP. The figures match the Win Chance field of the game.
The same arithmetic applies to Dice, where the 0–100 roll sets the chance instead.
How the result is drawn
The random number generator produces random bytes, which become a float. The game turns that float into a result multiplier using the 1,000,000× max payout and the 1% house edge.
- the lowest target is 1.01×;
- the published max win is 1,000,000× the bet;
- every round is a fresh draw with no memory of the last one.
Manual and Auto in Limbo
The bet panel has Manual and Auto tabs. Manual places a single bet per press, while Auto repeats bets on a set plan.
- Bet Amount with ½ and 2× buttons;
- Profit on Win for the current target;
- Target Multiplier and Win Chance fields under the result.
18+Limbo sits in the Stake Originals tab of the casino lobby. 18+ only.
RTP, house edge and max win
Limbo returns 99.00% of bets over time, leaving a 1.00% house edge. The edge is the same at every target.
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Provider | Stake Originals |
| RTP | 99.00% |
| House edge | 1.00% |
| Lowest target | 1.01× |
| Max win | 1,000,000× |
| Minimum bet | Equivalent of $0.0001 |
Is Stake Limbo provably fair
Limbo is a provably fair Original. The server seed hash is fixed before a bet, and the client seed is set on the player's side.
- the Fairness button under the game shows the seeds of each bet;
- the revealed server seed can be matched against its hash;
- a third-party verifier can recalculate the result.
The full method is in the provably fair method. The multiplayer cousin of Limbo is Crash; the rest are in the Originals hub.
What the target does not change
A higher target means bigger wins and fewer of them, at the same 1.00% edge. No sequence of targets beats the house edge.
- doubling after a loss changes bet sizes, not the odds;
- a run of low results does not make a high one more likely;
- Stop on Loss in Auto keeps a series within a budget.
