How a round of Chicken works

Chicken starts on the kerb with the bet locked in. Every lane crossed moves the payout to that lane's multiplier.

  1. Pick a difficulty level from the Difficulty menu.
  2. Enter the bet amount and press Bet.
  3. Press Go to send the chicken into the next lane.
  4. Cash out to collect the bet times the multiplier of the lane where the chicken stands.

The round ends at once if a tile breaks or a car hits the chicken, and the bet is lost. The Total Profit field tracks the current win.

Difficulty levels and lane multipliers

Chicken has four difficulty levels, and the level sets the volatility. A harder level grows the multiplier faster per lane and makes each step riskier.

21.37×
31.64×

52.46×

The multiplier grows with every lane crossed. The lane strip in the game shows the exact values for the chosen level.

Cash out and how a round ends

Cash out is open after every lane. It pays the bet times the multiplier shown under the chicken.

  • cash out: the round ends with a win at the current lane;
  • broken tile or car: the round ends and the bet is lost;
  • Total Profit: shows the win at the current lane before a cash out.

Auto mode settings

Auto mode runs a fixed plan without a press for every lane. The plan covers the bet, the risk and the stopping rules.

  • total wager amount;
  • volatility selection;
  • number of jumps per round;
  • number of rounds to play;
  • win and loss limits;
  • percentage increase of the bet after wins or losses.

Is Stake Chicken provably fair

Chicken uses a provably fair random number generator, so each lane result is set by seeds and can be rechecked. The Fairness button under the game shows them.

  • the server seed is committed as a hash before the round;
  • the client seed comes from the player's side;
  • past rounds can be recalculated after the server seed is revealed.

Seeds and hashes are covered in the fairness guide. A grid game with the same cash-out logic is Mines, and all titles are in the Originals hub.

What difficulty does not change

Every difficulty level carries the same 98.00% RTP. A safe crossing does not make the next lane safer or riskier.

  • decide the cash-out lane before the round;
  • keep the same plan after a loss instead of raising the bet;
  • use win and loss limits in Auto to cap a session.
